USING SOLAR POWERED CHARGER TO ENHANCE THE USAGE OF MOBILE DEVICES IN OFF GRID AND UNSERVICED REGIONS OF THE WORLD

The availability of stable power supply has been a challenge in most developing countries with so many not meeting up to one -tenth of their national demands .In the midst of these challenges are the issues such as having minute power sources that can charge mobile phones battery, smartphones ,tablets and the likes.Take case of a country like Nigeria with huge population in the region of over 160 million that presently generates between 4000W to slightly over 5000W at peak.Bulk of these populations in Nigeria and many other developing countries resides in the rural areas .In Nigeria because of the innovation from the ministry of agriculture and natural resources whereby the farmers has to be contacted through  their mobile phones on information about their request and supply of farm inputs from the ministry thereby eliminating the issues of middleman ship. Some of these farmers spend the meager resources at their disposal paying to have their phones battery charged commercially ,others traveled several kilometers to have their phones charged , all these are done so that they could keep their communication line open.others used their phones to receives information about market trend with respect to their farm produce so that they can be kept abreast of development in their environments .From all i have explained so far it is clear that one way to reduce these numerous challenges is the use of solar powered  mobile phone charger , on the average  a good solar powered mobile phone charger cost between $7 to $9. This will be extremely useful  to our rural dwellers  and fortunately for  us in Africa the issue of adequate sunshine is not an issue. To make acquisition easier rural dwellers can come together in cooperatives and then get these products and distributes to their members.
