HARNESSING THE ABUNDANT SOLAR AND WIND POWER ENERGY OF NIGERIA

Nigeria is located  on the equator and this has placed the country  at an advantage position when it comes to issue of the availability of sunlight. The country experience adequate sunshine throughout the  year. This abundant renewable energy  sources can be effectively utilized to increase the power generation capacity of the  country.Now that  the  Governmemt has privatized the existing  power company ,  They can also begin to license  companies  with  track records  in renewable energy  and give them the necessary incentives that will encourage them to come  and invest  in the  country .
